Let's start here.

This is a story about control. My control. Wait, no, that's Janet Jackson's story. This is a story about my life. Only it's not a story. It's a blog. A blog nobody asked for. Well, almost nobody. A few people asked. Did you ask? You could've asked.

I bought my domain name way back in the year 2000. So long ago, if this domain had been a baby, it would almost be old enough to drive now. I wouldn't give a domain name my keys, though. Terrible drivers, those domains. I put up a very rudimentary website then, and when I wasn't satisfied with it, took it down and replaced it with a "coming soon" page. And that was over a decade ago. As for "coming soon," how soon is soon? At what point do you just admit to yourself it (whatever it is) is never coming?!?

I decided 2015 was finally the time to start blogging. I had intended for April 1st to be the start date, but as you can see, I missed the deadline by several months. I wanted to find a better template than the ones Blogger provides natively. This meant googling. And choices. So many choices. Ultimately I found this one. I'm reasonably happy with my choice. I haven't figured out exactly how to modify everything, though. So don't go poking around yet. There's nothing to see here.

Am I supposed to sell myself now? Say something that is so engaging and/or entertaining, you can't wait to come back for more? That's a lot of pressure to put on someone. Especially me. I can feel your judgment right now. And you know what? I don't appreciate your tone.

Maybe I should wait another 15 years.
